In many of project management cases, managers are better equipped with tools to document their planning and progress in scope, time and cost management. Microsoft Project, the most widely known and well-distributed, easy to obtain project management software, is one of the tools the project managers can utilize to support their work in managing their projects.

This training course serves as an introduction to scheduling and how to create a schedule by using the popular software package Microsoft Office Project.

It is suitable for anyone with a need to use scheduling software such as team members, planners, project leaders, project managers, or other scheduling practitioners. This workshop is kept up to date with the framework of knowledge outlined by the Practice Standard for Scheduling, and the Project Management Institute’s PMBOK® Guide.

This course will be led by an ITSS certified instructor who will provide benefits of the software, tips to use various features, recommended guidelines, common shortcuts, and how to apply scheduling concepts to manage work.

The objectives which will be achieved during the training are as follows:

  • Participants are introduced to project management fundamentals and project scheduling
  • Participants are able to create and manage project scheduling using Microsoft Project.
  • Participants are able to assign and manage resources using Microsoft Project. 
  • Participants are able to present and share their project schedule with other project team members and stakeholders. 

This course is intended for Project managers, team members and officers within APMAS target projects who has the function in project planning and scheduling in their work, but are new to Microsoft Project and would like to learn more on scheduling or time management using Microsoft Project.
