1. Background

This course offers a structured approach to planning and delivering a training programme. Most experts and managers would have had experience of making presentations. Effective Training delivery goes beyond making presentations.

2. Target Audience

  • Subject Matter Experts without formally developed skills in training delivery.
  • Line Managers whose roles expand to delivering training either within their own organizations or to audience on the outside without any formal skills in training delivery 
  • Professionals in Training who have not had a formal and structured approach to developing their training skills

3. Benefits

Delegates will learn:

  • How to plan and deliver a training session
  • How to apply techniques that engage their audience and thus make the training more effective and enjoyable
  • Develop the confidence necessary to deliver effective training programmes

4. Pedagogy

The programme will be designed to enable delegates deliver a session on a topic of their choice to meet a set of training delivery standards under Style, Activity and Structure (SAS). Delegates will be exposed to the elements of the SAS in discussion with the facilitator. Delegates will be presented with a recording of their session for their review and record.

5. Venue

The programme will be delivered at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Pathumthani, Thailand.

6. Assessment

Assessment and certification will be based on delegates’ ability to deliver a session on a topic of their choice to meet SAS standards. Assessment will be done by a panel including the facilitator.

7. Schedule

The duration of the Training Delivery Skills programme is 3 days.

        

8. Facilitator

Dr. Sundar Venkatesh has over 15 years of teaching and training experience. He has won several awards for outstanding teaching and training. He has trained managers of organizations of different types and sizes in several countries around the world. See his complete profile here.
